If you’ve noticed things going dark around Paladar (@PaladarChicago) on Milwaukee, never fear. The restaurant’s beloved mojitos and traditional Cuban cuisine will be available soon at a new location.
Jose Gonzalez and the Paladar team are in the process of moving the restaurant and rum bar from 2115 N. Milwaukee Avenue to take over the former Cafe Bolero space, another Cuban restaurant, at 2252 N. Western Avenue.
Gonzalez, who is also behind Logan Square Mexican restaurant El Cid (@ElCidChicago, 2645 N. Kedzie Ave.) says they are aiming for a May 6 reopening, and that the new space will include a spacious outdoor patio.
The Paladar menu features family recipes for traditional Cuban cuisine from ropa vieja to oxtail.
