If you’re already a Logan Square regular, you’ve probably noticed natural hemp paper stickers have started showing up more often on local products from, in and around Logan Square. You’ve seen these artisan stickers around the neighborhood on Katherine Anne Confections‘ (@kachocolatier, 2745 W. Armitage Ave.) handmade marshmallow bags, North Coast Organics’ bodycare products (@NorCoastOrganic) at Dill Pickle (@DillPickleCoop, 3039 W. Fullerton Ave.) and on Letizia’s Fiore Ristorante’s (@LetiziasFiore, 2456 N. California Ave.) handmade pastas available at Logan Square Farmers Market (@LSFarmersMarket).
At the end of June, you’ll see even more of these labels at the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival (@MilAveArtsFest, MAAF, June 28-30). This year’s event will feature “Sticker Art” from Distant Village (@DistantVillage) throughout the three-day festival.

Art & Hemp
These artisan-quality natural paper stickers, called PURE Labels (@PureLabels), will be part of an “Art & Hemp” display available at the Distant Village booth during MAAF. Featuring an alternative, sustainable-type, 100% nature-friendly adhesive label made from natural hemp/wildgrass paper, the freebie stickers with highlight local artists’ art.
In addition to snagging an art stickers, you’ll get to learn more about the production of 100% recycle-compatible hemp labels and about sustainable fair-trade artisan packaging by stopping by.
Take note: Each day of the festival, a different variety of “Art & Hemp” stickers will be given away. Stop by the Distant Village booth Friday through Sunday to collect them all!
