Look at the growth of the ever-popular Logan Square Farmers Market on Sundays—the number of strollers and families in the neighborhood, the rapid growth in premium artisan restaurants and retail stores (which continue to maintain long waiting lines). Thanks for your article. Do you see the growth of this neighborhood going more northwest – up Milwaukee ave? Or North, with more action on Diversey Ave?
Hi Elaine, that’s a good question (and I think a lot of us would love to know that answer). As a long-time resident I have an opinion I’d be pleased to share, which is Yes. I believe Logan Square is expanding in both directions. There has been significant investment in rebuilding and commercial development in both directions. And as fast as the development is moving, it seems the neighborhood still has plenty of open opportunities. I expect to see much more development in even just one years time – in both these areas. I think these areas are still “filling in”. This is just my opinion from what I have personally witnessed, however I am not a real estate expert or an urban planner. 🙂
Your feedback is really helpful and I will incorporate your suggestions in future posts. Look for the next post please – Future posts will cover actual experiences and insights as business owner in Logan Square with a more objective direction. Thanks for reading.
