Know Your Neighbors is LoganSquarist’s newest column. We want to get to know you! In this edition, meet Felicia Yonter: Logan Square foodie and writer.
Occupation?
Writer
Relationship status?
Clooney. (Been married, not interested in doing it again.)
How long have you lived in Logan Square?
A little more than a year. Logan Square is the first neighborhood I fell in love with when I moved to Chicago 10 years ago. I always wanted to live here but was always married to, or engaged to, people who didn’t share my enthusiasm. Now, it’s a dealbreaker. Love me, love my ‘hood.
Favorite Logan hangouts?
Logan Square Farmers Market on Sundays. Margie’s Candies. Strolling the beautiful boulevards and looking at old Queen Anne houses. Johnny’s Grill. Miko’s Italian Ice. Midnight movies at the Logan Theater. Early brunch every Sunday at Longman & Eagle (Hi Aaron, Anne, and Josh!). And of course, the Square!
If you could have one super power, what would it be?
The power to heal.
If you had your own theme music, what song would it be?
If you could invite three people, dead or alive, to a dinner party, who would you pick?
Winston Churchill, Abigail Adams and Hedy Lamarr.
What was your favorite TV show or cartoon growing up?
Tom and Jerry
Who is your role model or hero and why?
No one person in particular comes to mind. I am inspired by creative, disciplined people like writers, designers, developers or small business owners, the people who like creating something from nothing.
Favorite part about living in Logan Square?
Diversity, affordability and the historical relevance to Chicago’s history in terms of residential architecture and the Boulevards’ preservation.

“Socializing the neighborhood” is at the core of the LoganSquarist mission, so we introduce readers to interesting and unique residents throughout Logan Square in our Know Your Neighbor column. If you know someone who would be ideal for to feature, let us know.
If Felicia’s relationship status is Clooney, my reaction to this article is Logan: great piece / concept / questions / answers!
I’m on a mission to get it officially recognized as a relationship status.
Hi Vincent! Thanks for reading!
