It’s back!
The outdoor Logan Square Farmers Market (@LSFarmersMarket) returned for its 10th season Sunday. The 2014 market will crop up on Logan Boulevard from Milwaukee Avenue to Whipple Street every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Oct. 26.
The first outdoor farmers market of the year featured tents for Habitat 2030, a volunteer group dedicated to local habitat restoration and preservation; Illinois Stewardship Alliance, focused on promoting and supporting local food and sustainable agriculture; and Children’s Learning Place.
Tula Yoga (@tulayogastudio, 2827 W. Belden Ave.) was on site from 10 to 11 a.m. to provide free yoga classes, and students from the Monroe Elementary Music Program performed at the market from noon to 2 p.m.
Coming Up At The Market
The outdoor farmers market will include a variety of vendors, such as farmers selling fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy products. Attendees can also check out flower vendors, artisan brands like Co-op Hot Sauce and prepared foods from Chicago Diner (@chicagodiner, 2333 N. Milwaukee Ave.) and Letizia’s Fiore (@LetiziasFiore, 2456 N. California Ave.), among others
According to a recent newsletter, in-season produce includes “spinach, salad lettuces, kale, spring flowers, asparagus, potted herbs, radishes and other early spring items.”
The market will return Sunday, May 25 at 10 am with Slow Food Chicago at the Community Tent, Enterprise/IGO Car Sharing at the Commercial Tent and musical guest John Till.

It’s great to see the grass repaired from all of the traffic. I missed the green space. Way to preserve the green boulevard!
Thanks for posting this! Any questions about the market can be sent to Kim@loganchamber.org. See you Sunday!
