Social Media Community Manager
Are you an expert at telling a story in 140 characters or less? LoganSquarist got its start on Twitter, so social media is at the heart of our organization. We’re looking for a fun and organized community manager to take charge of our social media presence by promoting stories and events, engaging with followers and keeping everyone up-to-date on what’s happening in Logan Square and at LoganSquarist!
Fliers, banners, posters, invites and digital graphics—we need someone who can do it all! As a graphic designer, you will support the marketing team by creating cool, original graphic designs to promote a range of marketing initiatives.
Find yourself taking red ink to pretty much any paper you come across? We have the perfect position for you. Our copy editor will be responsible for checking stories for grammar, style, factual and spelling errors, among other things. Help us make our stories the best they can be.
Have you attended a recent Neighbor Meetup and thought to yourself, I could totally do this? We love hosting neighborhood events, but we can’t do it without a dedicated events team! As an events manager, you will support the events team in organizing and hosting our monthly Neighbor Meetups and quarterly special events—and have a ton of fun doing it!
It’s hard to keep up with all the fun LoganSquarist events and other Logan Square happenings without a comprehensive calendar. We’re looking for someone to help us manage our community calendar, ensuring everyone is informed of all local events.
LoganSquarist loves for neighbors to shop, dine and do everything local. Our Logan Square business directory is one of the most comprehensive available, but with a growing neighborhood it needs a lot of love! We’re looking for someone to help us manage our directory, update current listings and add new businesses.
If you’re interested in entertainment, arts, politics & crime, or business, we’re looking for beat writers to cover these sections of Logan Square news. We’re especially looking for folks who want to really cover an area of the neighborhood well and on a weekly basis. Previous writing experience preferred. Local coverage a plus.
