The Boulevard Music Festival is set to return to Logan Square on Aug. 22-24 with food, craft beer and bands along one of the cities most scenic boulevards. The festival brings the spirit of Logan Square’s diverse collection of cafes, bakeries and restaurants to Logan Boulevard and will showcase a variety of food and drink from some of the best places in this little corner of the city.
Its two stages will feature local bands such as JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound (@theuptownsound) and Jamie Lono & Noble Heart (@jamielono) as well as a roster of out-of-towners including The Dean Ween Group, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Entry to the festival at 3100 W. Logan Square Blvd. is a $5 suggested donation. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the mission of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Logan Square (@stlukesLS, 2649 N. Francisco Ave.).
Two official after parties are also in the works at Concord Music Hall. One featuring Greensky Bluegrass on Friday, Aug. 22 (ages 17 and up) for $17, and another featuring Conspirator with special guest Dexterious Roy on Saturday, Aug. 23 (18 and up) for $10.
