‘Wicked’ Guilty In Stabbing Murder Of Fellow Tagger ‘Chip’
Just over three years after the incident, Kristopher Klimala was found guilty of the stabbing murder of fellow tagger Linear “Chip” Caballero on N. Western and W. Armitage Aves.
DNAinfo said Klimala, known as “Wicked,” had been charged with first-degree murder in January 2012 and has since been in maximum protective custody. His attorney previously claimed that Klimala was frightened of Caballero and acted in self-defense, DNAinfo said. However, Klimala later told police that Caballero was still in his car with his seatbelt on during the stabbing.
On March 26, Cook County Judge James Linn ruled Klimala guilty of second-degree murder. He could receive four to 20 years in prison, or as many as four years probation with no jail time.
