What’s your role with LoganSquarist?
Events Manager
Where are you from originally?
St. John, Indiana, aka Northwest Indiana or “the region.”
When did you join?
I joined the LoganSquarist team in May of 2016
Do you work in events professionally?
Why, yes I do! I work for an association management company just outside of Rosemont. I manage and plan conferences and events throughout the country.
What made you interested in volunteering for LoganSquarist?
I wanted to meet more people in my area, and I love planning events. It seems like the perfect fit for my free time, and it has been!
What is your favorite LoganSquarist event you coordinated?
I would have to say the Pick Up Party LoganSquarist hosted on Earth Day. It was such an amazing experience to see neighbors come out to take care of their community. There was so much energy and excitement throughout the day, and I am thankful I was a part of it.
What is your favorite restaurant in Logan Square?
Paulie Gee’s! Love their pizza, and they have a fantastic bar area to hang out in as well.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the neighborhood?
I love walking around Palmer Square. All of the trees make it so relaxing, and there is always great people watching to catch!
What has been the best part about joining the team?
Connecting with the community I live in and having a chance to give back to the neighborhood.
