Olivo Medical and Wellness Center (2412 W. Fullerton Ave.) has called Logan Square its home for the last 10 years. Now, the owners are introducing a new spa experience to the neighborhood. Recently, owner Jacqueline Olivo, M.D., decided to revamp the company and add a new location down the street, Olivo Med Spa (2550 W. Fullerton Ave.), that focuses solely on the skin care element of her practice.
“This is for everyone,” Olivo said. “This is for the whole neighborhood.”
The new location offers a wide range of skin treatments, including a 4-step Hydrafacial M.D., chemical peels, fillers and Botox injections. The original Olivo Medical and Wellness Center locations in Logan Square and Bucktown include skin care services as well as general health and wellness services like physical exams and family medicine. Olivo Med Spa separates these services and solely focuses on skin care, with the aim to provide a relaxing spa environment.
The bright and open space has a calming air to it, and the friendly down-to-earth vibe throughout the spa creates a welcoming atmosphere. “I want this location to provide an environment for rest and relaxation. It’s what our clients deserve,” Olivo said.
She has over a decade of medical experience, including history as a medical physician in her home country of Peru, and as a neurosurgeon in Barcelona, Spain before moving to the United States. Once she arrived in Chicago, she realized her passion for skin care and wellness and decided to focuse on providing treatments that help others feel better.
The new location had its official opening party March 10 and the spa will be hosting special events each month. Olivo Med Spa will announce deals and specials on their Facebook page, so keep an eye out for upcoming announcements.
