Where are you from originally?
When did you join?
I believe in January 2018.
Do you work in photography or journalism professionally?
I go to school at Columbia, majoring in photojournalism. So, I’d like to!
What made you interested in volunteering for LoganSquarist?
I wanted to learn more about and practice skills of the career I’m going into and get to know the neighborhood where I live.
What topics or stories have you liked covering and why?
I like really anything that involves the community coming together for a better cause, like the Hermosa playground story a few months back.
What is your favorite restaurant or hang out in Logan Square?
What’s your favorite thing to do in the neighborhood?
Explore—go around and take pictures and observe life around me.
What has been the best part about joining the team?
Getting to know the awesome team has been the best part! Moving here last year, I knew pretty much no one in the area. I am glad for all the caring and fun people I have worked with at Logansquarist.
What have you learned from working with LSQ?
LSQ has helped develop myself as a journalist and a photographer. It has been a great opprituinity to learn about the career field I am studying in school while getting real world experience at the same time.
