The Chicago Police’s 14th District have alerted local residents of two robberies that took place late last month. According to a just-released statement, two incidents took place Oct. 28, one in the 2800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue at 2:19 p.m. and the second in the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m.
In both instances, the offender, described as a black male between 16 and 20 years old and between 5’06 and 5’08 tall, walked into the businesses and acted as if he was going to buy an item. Once he went to pay and the cashier opened the registry, the offender grabbed the money. The employee tried to stop him, getting into a physical altercation before the offender was able to flee.
As of now, the amount of money stolen is not known, nor are the two businesses the offender hit.
