With 2018 coming to a close, what better way to round out the year than by supporting local businesses while you find your loved one’s gifts? Deals are swirling around the community and we scoured through some of them to bring you this list of Logan Square spots offering specials and themed presents for this holiday season.
*play (3109 W. Logan Blvd.)

On Dec. 21 from 7 – 9 p.m., there will be a kid-free opportunity to shop during the store’s Late Night Fridays event. Join in celebrating the holiday season with delectable pies from Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits while sipping on Revolution Brewing’s finest beers.
Intelligentsia Coffee (2642 N. Milwaukee Ave.)
Almost nothing spreads the love like the gift of a strong cup of coffee, especially in a coffee-saturated city. Intelligentsia Coffee is a great spot to find carefully curated gifts, including a variety of bundles that mix its thoughtfully sourced coffee with adorable holiday-themed cups to drink out from. Intelligentsia’s holiday promotion is 15 percent off orders over $50 and 20 percent off orders over $75. That means you can spread more cheer for even less cash!
Colectivo Coffee (2261 N. Milwaukee Ave.)
Colectivo Coffee is offering a wide array of holiday gift boxes and coffee subscriptions so that no matter who you are shopping for, Colectivo has your back. Added bonus: the packaging on each of these boxes is so cute and festive that no wrapping paper is needed! I personally will be putting the Women Producers Coffee Collection on my wishlist. $1 of every sale goes to The Partnership for Gender Equity, an organization supporting equitable opportunities for women coffee farmers in Latin America.
Colectivo’s got the holiday coffee game going strong even beyond the aforementioned coffee collection: the company created a whole holiday package with different assortments of coffee for different drinkers. Coffee delivery? Yeah, that’s a thing on the menu. Not sure what kind you like but want a taste of variety? A coffee sampler is also available for an intro to the coffee beans. Check out Colectivo’s holiday page for coffee giving
Uncharted Books (2620 N. Milwaukee Ave.)
Uncharted Books, one of my favorite cozy spots in the neighborhood, continues to open its doors to those looking to cuddle up and read the day away during the freezing winter air. With endless options of books and gifts to choose from, it can be a bit overwhelming to choose—but have no fear! The well-read, friendly staff at Uncharted Books are always happy to help you select the perfect present, even if it’s for yourself. Plus, their “Talk About Hard Shit Sale” offers 15 percent off books that will help us all be better informed and talk with our families about the “hard shit” going on around us.
And to brighten the air after the heavy talks, Uncharted is also selling these candles made by local artist Rachel Adams. Get them before they’re all gone for that unique house scent to spread holiday love.
Pinot’s Palette (2768 N. Milwaukee Ave.)
If you are looking for more interactive gifts, Pinot’s Palette is a great place to look. It’s are offering $10 off their sip and paint classes so you might be more likely to create some painting memories with friends if you’ve been craving to experience the store’s offerings. With classes leading up to Christmas Eve, there is still time to make a Christmas themed painting to give as a gift as well! Check out the event calendar to catch an upcoming painting class.
