It’s our favorite time of year! Italian Ice time. Miko’s is set to open at noon. As always, their spring hours are weather permitting so you can RSVP on their event page for up to date information regarding opening. This year, Miko’s is rolling out a new way to order! Their website will allow you to skip the line with pick-up & delivery options.

IT’S REX MANNING DAY! Come celebrate that handsome hunk by playing Bingo to Empire Records and listening to the soundtracks of other great 90’s movie soundtracks.
Thursday, April 11: Spring Job Fair @ Humboldt Park Field House, 10 a.m – 2 p.m.
26th Ward Alderman Roberto Maldonado is hosting a spring job fair. Bring plenty of resumes and come prepared to talk to hiring business owners.
Thursday, April 11: Glow Nite @ Pinot’s Palette
Paint a psychedelic Starry Night while sipping a cocktail from the full-service bar. This vibrant take on Van Gogh’s Starry Night is just as fun to paint in the daylight as it is under blacklight. The glowing color palette is easy to customize, and the simple design is very beginner-friendly. Join us and paint your own technicolor masterpiece! $29. Follow along as much, or as little, as you’d like.
Saturday, April 13: Annual Easter Egg Hunt @ Holstein Park
Join at 10:00 am for the kids under 4 hunt and at 10:30 am for the kids 4-8 hunt. Arrive early to help hide eggs if you can! Suggested donation is $10/family (up to 3 children). RSVP to [email protected]

Head to the Logan Square Auditorium for Roaring City, The Neon Metropolis – Chicago’s newest 2 day neo-vintage music and performance festival! “The Roaring City festival celebrates the future in the spirit of yesteryear- bringing vaudevillian style entertainment from all over the United States and beyond for one weekend of awe and delight.” Featuring live bands, DJs, sideshow, circus, burlesque, ambient performance and more, this festival is sure to be a hit!

Thursday, April 18: Comfort Music: Phil Sudderberg/Ken Vandermark + Stephen Dorocke @ Comfort Station
Fresh off of a European tour with Marker, drummer Phil Sudderberg and saxophonist/clarinetist Ken Vandermark will play a duo set. Guitarist Stephen Dorocke will be joined by Elanor Keskiw on trombone and Daniel Thatcher on bass.
Saturday, April 20: LoganSquarist Earth Day Trash Pick-up Party @ Illinois Centennial Monument
Help us clean up the neighborhood! Our annual trash pick-up party dedicates the morning to cleaning up Logan Square. From 10:30 to 12:30 we will provide trash bags and gloves and we will disperse around Logan Square. Do some good and help clean up our Earth! Tuesday, April 23: Forms & Features Prose Poetry Workshop @ Comfort Station
Join Maggie Queeney of the Poetry Foundation for a poetry discussion and creative writing workshop. This workshop focuses on the prose poem, a hybrid composition that takes the appearance of prose while assuming the devices, and name, of poetry. Together, read and discuss a wide variety of poems and conclude with a guided creative writing workshop, where participants will compose original prose poems.
Friday, April 26: I <3 Logan Square 11th Annual Party to Benefit LSNA @ Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center
In it’s 11th year and here to stay! Connect with LSNA leaders, enjoy delicious homemade food, local brews, and Araceli’s famous margaritas at the longest standing Latinx cultural center in Chicago, honoring the legacy of Puerto Rican abolitionist Segundo Ruiz Belvis. The Logan Square Neighborhood Association is a grass-roots based, community organization advancing diversity, leadership development, and models of engagements as the catalyst for social justice.
Saturday, April 27: Celebrate Earth Day @ Unity Park
The Friends of the Parks (FOTP) Chicagoland Earth Day Parks & Preserves Clean-up began over 30 years ago. Starting at 10am you can plant a flower, pick up trash and enjoy a bike tune-up for you or the kids from Boulevard Bikes.
Sunday, April 28: Community Garden Season Kickoff @ Mindful Living
Interested in starting a garden at your home? Want to get more involved in community gardening? Want to connect with fellow local gardeners? Join neighbors at the Mindful Living Garden in Avondale for a season kick off event. Snacks and drinks will be provided and additional potluck goodies are welcome, too! Bring a pair of gloves. If we can manage to get our hands on some early spring donations, we’ll be digging up some dirt.
Demonstrations and information will be shared about:
