January 2017 (and after a short hiatus I’ve been back since January 2018!)
Do you write professionally?
Yes! I am a full-time freelance copywriter with a focus in marketing.
What made you interested in volunteering for LoganSquarist?
I was looking for a way to connect to others in my community.
What is your favorite LoganSquarist story you worked on?
Most recently, Paulina Fadrowska [a photographer] and I had a lot of fun interviewing Nick Mayor in his awesome Logan Square apartment for an Interiors article. Check out the article and some of the photos below!
What is your favorite restaurant or hang out in Logan Square?
Reno (and R.I.P. The General!)
What’s your favorite thing to do in the neighborhood?
Walk on the boulevard with my husband Michael and our dog Wesley! Oh, and Michael and I got married in Logan Square at Greenhouse Loft, so that is definitely a favorite!
What has been the best part about joining the team?
Getting to meet a lot of fun and interesting people in the neighborhood has been the best part.
How has it contributed to your professional career?
I’ve made a lot of connections I continue to stay in touch with and I am constantly growing my interview skills each time I get to interview a new community member or business owner.
