Chalk up a win for the neighborhood’s Francophiles. La Boulangerie (3129 W. Logan Blvd) announced it will debut a new evening menu this month featuring an assortment of French foods and a curated wine list.
According to the cafe’s website, offerings will include savory tartines, cheese and charcuterie boards, and flammekueche, a pizza-like tart from France’s Alsace region that’s commonly topped with crème fraîche, thinly sliced onions and lardons.
“We decided to transform the bakery as an eatery at night with a unique fusion of classic French cooking and products,” said a spokesperson for La Boulangerie. “We wanted to offer a real French atmosphere: bakery/cafe during the day, simple epicerie/bar for the aperitif time and dinner.”

La Boulangerie also now offers more than 40 select wines and liquors, mostly from France, which people can take away or enjoy on site.
Starting Jan. 18, the new menu will be available from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant will also serve brunch on weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
La Boulangerie, a traditional French bakery and café, has become a neighborhood favorite known for its breads, pastries and crepes, which are made from scratch daily using flour imported from Les Grands Moulins de Paris. La Boulangerie closed in 2013 and reopened on Milwaukee Avenue in 2017. The restaurant also has locations in Lakeview and Ravenswood, but the new menu will only be available at its Logan Square café.
