Born and raised in the northwest suburbs and moved to Logan Square back in 2017.
When did you join?
Fall of 2021.

LoganSquarist is actually my first writing gig, volunteer or otherwise!
What made you interested in writing for LoganSquarist?
I’ve always had an interest in writing and am crazy about our neighborhood and especially the hospitality industry. I came across a post looking for writers and threw my hat in the ring!
What is your favorite LoganSquarist article you wrote?
It was such a pleasure to talk with Brian Enyart of Dos Urban Cantina about the restaurant’s shift to a more sustainable operation for their staff. His passion and true caring for his team made me love that place even more!
What is your favorite restaurant in Logan Square?
I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve enjoyed Dos Urban Cantina. Best margaritas and happy hour in Chicago!
What’s your favorite thing to do in the neighborhood?
Sitting right on the square, sipping a coffee (or a beer) in the early evening, people watching and listening to the music that’s almost always playing. Really wish it was summer!
What has been the best part about joining the team?
Getting the opportunity to meet some of the incredible people behind the places I know and love has been such a treat! I’m truly grateful for the team for giving me a chance to write without any prior experience or training.
