Carrie McGath has called Logan Square home since 2011 and is a poet and an art critic in the city. She has contributed many reviews, interviews and profiles to arts and entertainment publications such as Third Coast Review, Chicagoist, Newcity and Brut Force. Carrie is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Program for Writers at the University of Illinois at Chicago, studying poetry. During her days and nights, Carrie can be found huddled over her vintage Olivetti typewriter working on her second full-length poetry collection, "The Luck of Anhedonia," with her sassy tuxedo cat holding court and demanding attention and treats nearby.
