Gabriel Skvor was born — like everything cool — in the late 1970s. Raised in Long Beach, Calif., he played football, ran track, did martial arts and stayed otherwise clueless about life. Escaping to San Diego at 18 and then finding a hiding place in Big Sur from 27-35, he spent those years writing, surfing, rock climbing, hiking, playing the didgeridoo, slacklining, and admittedly continuing to remain happily clueless. Now a resident of Logan Square (and still clueless), Skvor is happy to be a Midwesterner and “working” in hospitality to support his writing habit.
