Kelsey isn’t a Logan Square native, but has very much considered it home since 2008. If she’s not traveling, you’ll usually find her taking in alt rock shows, schlepping around the Farmers Market, spoiling her two bad (read: AWESOME) dogs, tending to her JAWS-themed garden, or raising hell at various drinking and dining establishments around the neighborhood.

Ariel is always out in the neighborhood meeting people and looking for story inspirations. A native of New Mexico, Ariel loves the outdoors, dogs and anything food-related. You can see her biking around Logan and probably singing to herself. She is a freelance journalist and writes for Block Club Chicago, Windy City Times, the Chicago Defender and more.

Michael Dhar has lived in Logan Square since 2015, after stints in Wisconsin, NY and the Hawkeye State. During the day, he edits and writes science and technology content. He started as a politics writer for Logan Squarist, went on to do the site’s events roundup and eventually took on editorial roles.

Matt’s been a Logan Square resident since 2015. You can usually find Matt sipping local beers around Logan, reading on the square, or attending local music gigs.

Ryan is a Chicago-based freelance writer with more than three years of experience covering the local music scene. When he’s not writing or interviewing, he can usually be found at the center of a mosh pit, crate digging at one of the many area record stores, or holed up on the couch with a glass of merlot and the latest copy of The New Yorker.

Tim is a writer and PR flack who lives in Logan Square with his wife and a tiny white dog.
